Something new is almost here - and I'd love your help bringing it to life.

I'm wrapping up the final stages of a new quilt pattern and I’m super excited. The pattern is called Whirl of Freedom. It’s a beginner-friendly quilt that measures approximately 66.5" × 77". It’s made almost entirely from half-square triangles and squares plus there are several borders.

I’m looking for a small group of testers to work through the pattern before it is released in September. If you’ve never been a pattern tester before, here is the rundown. You will receive a free copy of the unpublished pattern. You will follow the pattern to create the quilt top just like any other quilter would.

I need your help to notice anything that I or my tech editor may have missed. Are the instructions clear? Do the measurements seem off base? Are there steps that could use better diagraming?

What am I asking of you?

• Make the complete quilt top between August 8 and September 5, 2026

• Submit your feedback by September 5th. I’m going to create a form that you can use.

• Send or post a photo of your final quilt top. You can also post progress photos along the way.

• Please don’t post any details of the pattern

What do you need to know?

• Applications open: July 27, 2026

• Applications close: August 7, 2026

• Testing window: August 8 – September 5, 2026

• Finished size: approx. 66.5" × 77"

• Technique focus: Half-square triangles, straight borders

• Fabric: Any fabric from your stash or a new purchase works

The application takes less than five minutes and I'll review all submissions and notify everyone by August 8th.
